Kim Quarterman

As a youngster, Kim grew up in the islands of southern Georgia . His family spent a lot of time together at the beach and boating on the rivers and inlets surrounding Jeckyll Island , St. Simons Island and the Golden Isles. Eventually, he went on to join the Air Force at an early age. While there, his leadership skills began to develop as he served as crew chief over several planes.

Immediately following his tour of duty in the Air Force, Kim chose to begin his sales career in the mobile home industry where he spent 10 years honing his business and selling skills. He eventually moved on to sell insurance for several years where he expanded his sales expertise and business knowledge.

While in the insurance industry, his growing desire to start his own business became too strong to ignore. He took advantage of that desire and in the early ‘90s, ventured into the world of business ownership. He opened an electronic repair business where he repaired TV's, VCR's, Camcorders and more until just a few years ago when he began to notice an emerging trend in telecommunications.

He capitalized on that trend and seized the opportunity quickly. He shifted the focus of his business to the telecommunications industry and catered to several niche markets in the industry. He offered beeper and paging products, services, calling cards you could order online and even developed and produced his own brand of long-distance calling cards. He also went on to offer wireless phone products and services as part of his business mix as well. He entered the wireless phone market at the perfect time, and saw amazing growth as his phone sales exceeded 6000 a year at one point.

Nearing the turn of the century, he came across another market niche with awesome growth potential – the IRS efile program. The market was wide open so he quickly began to offer the service and explore the long-term business potential of the industry in general. He developed Tax Refunds Now! Tax Refunds Now was a Franchise Corporation with several types of franchise packages available. Since the tax business is seasonal the key would be in developing a package that would allow the franchisees to participate easily and affordably all year long. He succeeded in developing this concept with an additional optional package. A corporation which worked in conjunction with the franchise corporation called TRN Payroll & Business Development. His goal in doing this was to provide the tools and necessary training to help the franchisees prosper year round. They could accomplish online payroll and bookkeeping from a web portal. This they could in turn market to their customers.

Through His many business ventures, Kim acquired an interest in computers. He saw a market that was huge and permanent. The opportunity at hand was multi-faceted though and Kim knew he had to pick a niche with long-term potential. He decided the most opportune niche was refurbished computers. His vision has been to make computers affordable to everyone.

In 2003 He partnered with the most experienced and well respected company in the Southeast, Compuforce and opened Computer Liquidation Center . Computer Liquidation Center has grown by leaps and bounds since its inception. It has grown from sharing floor space to having its own building and from cash sells to offering rent-to-own. Also we have expanded from just local market to a worldwide market on the web.

Kim is the general manager of Computer Liquidation Center .
